I am a Certified Nursing Assistant by the State of Florida. I also have a HHA certificate with 40 hrs of training when that was the only requirement. I have all the ceus that are required by the state, but cannot be hired by some agencies because I do not have 75 hrs of training. I worked in hospitals and Assisted living facilities with my CNA license, but cannot be hired by some companies because they are asking me to provide 75 hrs of training. To be a CNA, is more than the required training. I still cannot see the logic behind it. I had to go through hours of training, also had to take the state exam.
